Wall Graphics
VIP area
Working with a specification of 'make visiting customers feel like VIPs', I redeveloped an empty part of one floor of an office building.
The work involved structural changes, new colourways, wall art, cut vinyl graphics and furniture.
I worked with external suppliers and designed all decor to give a bright and friendly feel while still feeling like a professional environment.
I kept to a schedule and budget and regularly presented mockups to explain the process and thinking and to ensure approval was gained at every step of the way.
The floor space was broken down into 3 distinct zones: Laboratory to learn about the function of analysers and assays,
board room to allow space for formal training and discussions and
a break-out area with kitchenette that needed to be welcoming and comfortable.
Cut vinyl graphics remind customers of branding while they are greeted with a VIP sign at the entrance to the area.
Laboratory area was kept clean and functional but included a cut vinyl Word Cloud reminding customers of available assays, adding colour to the area. There was also an acrylic-mounted triptych photograph to open up the enclosed space. The idea was to make this feel like a window into another lab.
board room had matching furniture, continuing the bright and cheerful colourway. The wall-mounted acrylic image is Birmingham at night.
break-out area was relaxed with high and low comfortable seating, kitchenette facilities and decoration included a back-lit panel depicting global presence, a back-lit three-dimensional logo and pillar-mounted literature dispensers.
Chiropractor's Clinic
Commission to brighten up a space within a Chiropractor's clinic. A word cloud was designed to make the area more welcoming.
The choice of words and colours are designed to inspire a sense of well-being and to reflect the benefits of attending the clinic.
